Information required for SIM registration
You will have to provide some personal details to successfully register your SIM card. These include:
- Full legal name
- Date of birth
- Sex
- Home address
- Type of government ID and ID number
- Copy of government-issued ID and photo
How to register SIM card
The process will be slightly different depending on what telecom provider you use. You will find step-by-step guides for all carriers below. These apply to all prepaid SIM cards.
Register Globe/TM/GOMO SIM
Step 1: Go to new.globe.com.ph/simreg on your mobile or web browser.
Step 2: Input the mobile number you wish to register.
Step 3: You will be sent an OTP to that number. Enter the OTP once you receive it.
Step 4: Input your personal information including your full name and address.
Step 5: Upload or take a photo of one valid government ID from the choices and take a selfie or upload a selfie. Make sure the photos don’t exceed 2MB.
Step 6: Tap the required boxes to check. If you don’t want to receive unnecessary promo alerts or you don’t want to share your info to Globe, don’t tap the optional boxes.
Step 7: Complete the registration and take note of your reference number.
Step 8: You will receive a text message from Globe shortly after saying that you have successfully registered your SIM.
Register Smart/Talk N’ Text/Sun SIM
Step 1: Go to smart.com.ph/simreg on a mobile or web browser.
Step 2: Enter the mobile number that you are registering.
Step 3: Enter the OTP once you have received it.
Step 4: Complete your profile by entering your information.
Step 5: Attach a copy of your valid government ID.
Step 6: Wait for the SMS confirmation and save your control number.
Register DITO SIM
Step 1: On your web or mobile browser, go to dito.ph/RegisterDITO.
Step 2: Enter your mobile number and wait for the OTP.
Step 3: Proceed with the registration by entering the OTP.
Step 4: Input the required information.
Step 5: Upload a copy of one valid government ID.
Step 6: Wait for the confirmation message. Take a photo or screenshot of the successful registration page for future reference.
Registration requirements for minors
Minors or parents or guardians of minors also need to register their SIM if they have one. It will be registered under the legal parent or guardian’s name/
The requirements are:
- A valid government ID of the parent or guardian
- Consent of the minor’s parent or guardian to register the SIM card.
Registration requirements for businesses
If you have mobile numbers that are used for your business, these are things you need for a successful registration:
- SEC or DTI Certificate of Registration
- Board Resolution designating the authorized representative or a Special Power of Attorney (SPA)
Registration requirements for tourists
Tourists staying in the Philippines who will opt to get a temporary SIM card for their travels must also register to activate their SIM. They will need to provide the following.
- Passport
- Proof of address in the Philippines (hotel or other accommodation)
- Return plane ticket showing date and time of departure from the Philippines

Do I have to register my postpaid SIM?
