Do you want to earn money online in the Philippines?
Who doesn’t want to? Since we’re in a pandemic, the safest way to earn money is online where we don’t need to physically go to offices and meet with people.
I’ve been an online freelancer long before the pandemic even started and I can say that there’s a lot of opportunities online.
So, as a way of giving back, I listed down all the ways I earn today as well as those that are the best! Let’s get started…
1. Online Freelancing
The main way I earn money online in the Philippines is through online freelancing.
I’ve been an online freelancer for more than 2 years now.
During that time, I’ve gone from earning P199 per article to now charging $40 per article!
Today, I earn an average of around P60,000 per month with content writing.
My freelance job entails just writing game articles which is easy enough for me since I love games.
Not only that but I can finish the day’s tasks in just 4-6 hours!
Because of that, I spend the rest of my day writing blog posts for this blog as well as taking on side gigs.
In the world of online freelancing, there are a lot of niches you can take.
Content writing is just one of them! You can become a virtual assistant, an SEO specialist, a programmer, a video editor and many more! For the full list of in-demand niches, you can read this guide I wrote!

2. Blogging/Vlogging
As I mentioned above, when I’m done with my freelance job tasks for the day, I usually write for this blog.
As you see, I earn money from this blog from a lot of ways and the biggest one is through ads.
When I started, I signed up and used Google Adsense for around a year now until I recently switched to Ezoic.
They promised more revenue but they require your website to have more than 10,000 visitors per month which I recently reached as well.
But before you start a blog, I suggest you learn a bit about Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
Basically, this is the process of improving your blog to be seen at the top of the rankings.
You see, every blog post here has a keyword which I specifically researched about.
These keywords are the most searched terms in Google so I create high-quality blog posts around it.
Today, Peso Hacks has a lot of high-ranking blog posts.
For instance, if you search for the term “Ipon challenge” in Google right now, you’ll see my blog post at the first page!
This was only possible because I learned about SEO and implemented it on my blog.
Now, I make money from it in this blog as well as in my freelance content writing jobs!
Because of that, I can recommend both blogging and vlogging to be one of the best ways to earn money online in the Philippines today!
3. Affiliate Marketing
One of the quickest ways to earn money online in the Philippines without any investments is through affiliate marketing.
In basic terms, it’s the process of promoting products/services and getting a commission for every sale.
I still remember the first time I’ve made an affiliate commission on Canva for P1500.
I just posted a link for my readers in this blog to try Canva Pro and I’ve received money just like that.
Now, you don’t need to have a blog like me to make money on affiliate marketing.
I’ve seen plenty of people being creative about this. Here are the best ways that I’ve seen them do:
- Starting a YouTube channel
- Creating a Facebook page
- Emails
- Social media
- Reviews
I’ve seen a lot of people create Facebook pages and posting Lazada products there.
When people buy through the links that they’ve posted, they get a commission!
This is the perfect passive income today since you don’t have to pay any capital.
You just need to promote your products.
With that, here are the best affiliate programs you can get into today:
4. Selling EBooks
If you have experience or knowledge in a certain topic, why not share it to a lot of people? The best way to do so is through an eBook!
Personally, I sell an eBook on How to Become an Online Freelancer here in Peso Hacks. Here, I share my experiences, tips and the steps a beginner can take to start earning dollars online.
I’ve written it for a few months and it’s one of the ways I make money online today.
The best part about this is that I spent P0 all throughout. I didn’t spend anything on the cover, illustrations and the eBook layout since I just used Canva.
If you’re planning to create an eBook as well, I suggest you try Canva Pro which has thousands of elements and templates that you can freely use. Sign up here for a free 30-day trial today!
The good thing about eBooks is that you can write about anything you want just as long as you have enough knowledge and experience on it.
Then, you can sell them to your website, YouTube channel, or any social media page.
5. Social Media Sites (FB, Instagram, TikTok)
Do you have Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok? If so, then you’re like most Pinoys today but only a few are using these social media sites to their advantage.
If you’ve noticed, there are a lot of videos uploaded on social media sites especially Facebook.
There are short movie clips, cooking videos, and all sorts of videos today.
If you didn’t know, you can earn a lot of money from Facebook and other social media platforms today!
With Facebook, you can earn from the following monetization tools:
- Instant Articles
- Stars
- In Stream Ads for On Demand and Live
- Paid Online Events
- Brand Collabs Manager
- Fan Subscription
I’ve seen many people who on Facebook who do this as their full-time or even their part time jobs.
To start, you can join this group today to start: Facebook / Youtube Monetization (Philippines Group)
As for Instagram, you can earn money from sponsored posts and by collaborating with brands when you have enough followers.
The same is true with TikTok but they actually have a monetization feature now.
6. Online Selling
The pandemic has left many of us jobless. Many businesses are struggling but many thrived as well. The best business you can put up today is online selling.
It’s safe and you can potentially reach a lot of people today from all over the country.
I’ve seen many types of products being sold online such as slippers, food, shirts, earphones and many more.
You can be a reseller or you can create your own products – your only problem is how to market it.
But that’s not a problem when you learn Facebook ads as well as marketing your products without spending anything.
7. Paid Online Surveys
If you’re looking for an easy way to earn money online, then the best one would be paid surveys.
There are a lot of companies out there that want to hear the opinions of their target market to better create products and services.
Thankfully, you don’t have to search for all of the surveys manually on the internet.
With a platform like MOBROG, you can answer a lot of surveys as they come. Here, the average pay per survey varies from P10 – P40 depending on the survey.
It usually just takes around 4 – 20 minutes per survey.
You don’t need to think hard about anything as you earn easy money here.

8. Dropshipping
I’ve seen a lot of success stories with dropshipping that at first, I didn’t believe.
I tried it myself for a brief period and although I didn’t earn much, it’s definitely legit.
If you take your time in learning what products work, how to market them and how to do the whole thing, you can be successful here! There are many people who earn 6 digits figures monthly here.
But the best part is that you don’t have to create your own products!
I’m part of some dropshipping groups in Facebook and I recommend that you join in one to learn a lot.
Here’s the group: Philippines E-Commerce & Dropshipping Community
9. Print on Demand
Similar to dropshipping, you also don’t need to create your products in print on demand.
But you’ll need to create your designs though. This is what you’ll basically sell!
There are many products that you can put your design on such as shirts, mugs, face masks and many more.
You’ll then be in charge of marketing your products and create your own branding.
It’s a great way to earn money in the Philippines today as you don’t need any capital.
Here are the best platforms to start this online business:

10. Microtasks
Micro tasks are simple and small tasks that can you can do online today to get paid.
Unlike in online freelancing, there are no contracts here that require you to spend hours working.
Most of the work you’ll be doing here are tasks that require a human touch so that robots can learn.
These can be Lidar, categorization, data collection and many more.
The best one I can recommend today is Remotasks and they pay per task.
The average money you can earn is around $2-$10 per day depending on the tasks.
11. Streaming
If you’re on Facebook, you’ll notice that the number of streamers has gone up over the past years.
That’s because there are now more ways to earn money from Facebook as mentioned earlier.
One of the best ways to earn today is to become a streamer.
When we say streamer, you can be doing a lot of things and one of them could be gaming.
If you enjoy games and entertaining people, why not try to be one?
The top streamers today like ChooxTV earn hundreds of thousands to millions monthly just by streaming.
And what’s not to like about streaming – you’re doing something you enjoy and getting paid!
12. Brand Partnerships
Over the past 2 years that I’ve been blogging, I’ve partnered with a lot of brands mostly financial corporations.
If you have a following and a lot of readers/viewers like my blog Peso Hacks, you can be approached by some brands that want to collaborate with you.
This is more suited to those that are already established but it doesn’t hurt to approach brands and businesses even if you’re just still starting!
You can earn a lot by promoting their products/services like most influencers do today.
Just make sure that you promote what you truly believe in not just because of the monetary rewards.
13. Become an English Tutor Online
My wife and then girlfriend Angeli once tried to be an Online English Tutor (ESL Tutor).
She tried it for about a month and a half as a part-timer as she’s currently working a full-time job at a bank.
In the span of her teaching career for 1 and half months, she made around P20,000.
This isn’t bad considering she only taught students at night and at weekends when it was her off.
Although it didn’t last for a long time, it’s still a valuable experience.
The good thing about being an online English teacher is that you don’t need to be a licensed teacher to become one.
Although a diploma is preferred, you can definitely make this a full-time job like many and earn upwards of P30,000/month.
You can try applying today at Acadsoc, Rarejob, and Oncub.
